Port Employee Earns State Finance Award
Eric Russell, director of properties and development for the Port of Everett, recently received the "Professional Finance Officer Award" for the state of Washington from the Washington Finance Officer's Association.
Russell earned the annual award for his commitment to educational and professional excellence. In addition to his regular duties of property management, marketing and development for the Port, Russell is taking the lead on the Port's $300 million North Marina Redevelopment project.
"Eric is very deserving of this honor," said John Mohr, executive director for the Port of Everett. "This award says everything we at the Port already knew, he is hard-working, diligent and a tremendous asset to have on staff."
Russell, a Central Washington University graduate, has been with the Port since 1996, and was the Port's senior accountant & information services manager before being promoted to his current position in 2004. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Washington.
