Port Hires New Marina Maintenance Helper

Post Date:05/24/2005

Diana Kinney has been hired as the new Marina Maintenance Helper, the Port of Everett announced Tuesday.

"We are extremely pleased to have Diana on our staff," said Jim Weber, the Port's marina maintenance supervisor. "She is a great addition to our team, and we all look forward to working with her."

As a maintenance helper, Kinney's main duties will include grounds keeping and landscape maintenance of Port properties, customer assistance and daily maintenance of the marina complex.

Kinney started at the Port on Thursday, May 19, and is stationed at the Marina Maintenance Shop Facility. She comes to the Port of Everett from Arlington, where she owned and managed a daycare center for the past 16 years.

Kinney started the daycare in 1989 to be with her three children, and decided this year to switch careers since they are now grown up.

"I'm very excited to be starting here at the Port," Kinney said. "The working environment is wonderful."
