Port Hires Community Relations Representative
The Port of Everett is pleased to announce the hiring of Lisa Mandt as the new Community Relations Representative for its public and media relations outreach efforts.
“Lisa’s experience as a news reporter and her knowledge of the high-profile projects that the Port of Everett has undertaken makes her the ideal candidate for the Community Relations Representative,” said John Mohr, Executive Director for the Port.
Lisa comes to the Port of Everett from The Snohomish County Tribune, where she has covered the Everett and Mukilteo beat for the past two years. While working for The Tribune, she has developed some impressive “resources” in the City of Everett, Mukilteo and Snohomish County. Lisa will be responsible for coordinating various public outreach programs in support of the North Marina Redevelopment, Rail/Barge Transfer Facility, Mukilteo Tank Farm, the redevelopment of the Port’s South Terminal, and other Port projects as required.
Lisa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a minor in Political Science from Western Washington University. While at Western, she was the News Editor of The Western Front and supervised a staff of approximately 40 news reporters. Lisa also earned two Journalism scholarships and received the Outstanding Contributor Award from The Western Front.
