Public Affairs Manager
Port Promotes From Within Organization
John Mohr, Executive Director of the Port of Everett, recently announced the promotion of the Port's Senior Accountant, Eric Russell, to Director of Properties and Development.
"Eric has played a key role in several property negotiations, including the lead Port negotiator in the recently completed negotiations with Everett Maritime, LLC for the redevelopment of the Port's North Marina, potentially a $250 million project. With this background, Eric is able to move seamlessly into the Director of Properties' position at a critical time in the North Marina Redevelopment and several other large projects," said Executive Director Mohr.
Port Commission President Don Hopkins said, "Eric Russell has earned this position, and we are very pleased to recognize his hard work by promoting him to the Director of Properties and Development."
Eric Russell, who reports directly to Executive Director John Mohr, will be responsible for overseeing all commercial and industrial real estate property management, marketing, and development for the Port. Russell replaces Bob McChesney who recently accepted a position as the Executive Director for the Port of Port Angeles.
Russell earned a Bachelor of Science degree in both Business and Accounting from Central Washington University, and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Washington.
In March of 1996, Eric Russell was hired as the Port's Senior Accountant & Information Services Manager. Before coming to the Port of Everett, Russell worked as a Financial Analyst for five years with the State of Washington.
Eric Russell is a native of Everett, Washington and graduated from Everett High School in 1979.
