The Port of Everett is a growing, thriving port in the Puget Sound Region. While we are not as large as the ports of Seattle or Tacoma, the Port of Everett plays a critical role in supporting the largest aerospace company in the nation! Like all ports, Everett trades with countries throughout the world to bring the goods that people and businesses need and want everyday.
The Port’s maritime activity generates $3.6 billion in revenue to local businesses, $246.8 million in state and local taxes, and firms that depend directly on maritime activity at the Port of Everett make $600 million in purchases annually. The Port as a whole creates 31,080 jobs for the community, approximately 11,000 jobs of which are associated with the local aerospace industry (data from Martin & Associates Report, May 2009). Furthermore, the Port of Everett is a steward of the shoreline and has worked to provide extensive public access along the Everett and Mukilteo waterfronts.
