The Port is currently governed by Commissioners Troy McClelland (District 1), Tom Stiger (District 2) and Michael Hoffmann (District 3). The Port Commission is the District’s policymaking and regulatory body. The Commission is responsible for setting the policy of the district for both internal and external matters and providing for their implementation. The Commission hires an Executive Director to carry out its policies.
The Port District encompasses most of Everett and portions of Mukilteo and Marysville. See Map. The citizens set the Port’s boundaries and elect the Commissioners to govern the Port District.
The district is governed by three commissioners, who are elected to six-year terms and rotate annually between president, vice president and secretary. Most of the powers of the Port are directly vested in its Port Commission.
