Understanding the role ports and international trade play in our regional and national economy is critical to the education of our youth. For this reason, the Port of Everett reaches out to local school districts to help educate students in this area of study.
Our goal is to help students become familiar with port operations by educating students about their neighboring port here in Everett. The program facilitates a basic understanding of ports, the governance of the Port of Everett, its role in the economic prosperity of the region, as well as its continual efforts to provide public access opportunities and environmental stewardship.
Our school program includes a brief presentation, followed by grade-level appropriate interactive activities to educate students about the role ports play in our economy.
