Jetty Island

Step into a world of wildlife, sandy beaches and marsh grasses that is home to more than 45 bird species including osprey, shorebirds, hawks, eagles, cormorants and ducks. Lucky Jetty Island visitors may see seals surfacing or lounging near the waters edge or even witness gray whales swimming by during spring migration.

Union Slough

Located in the Snohomish River estuary, Union Slough is a great location for wildlife lovers. This 24-acre estuarine marsh mudflat habitat creates a home for native species, including endangered Chinook salmon, shorebirds, Dungeness crab, and native plant species such as willows, flowering currant and nookta rose.

Waterfront Parks
Fish off the pier near the boat launch or enjoy a picnic in the park while taking in the sites and sounds of the waterfront. The Port's park and open space locations offer a great place to watch for various birds and seals.
