Port of Everett Celebrates Ports Day, Honors Workforce

Date: Apr 5, 2019
Everett, Wash. – Today, on Western Hemisphere Port’s Day, the Port of Everett celebrates its workforce through video to honor the maritime workers who play an integral role in the Port’s ability to keep freight moving, support more than 35,000 family-wage jobs and bring economic prosperity to our region.

From the dedicated longshore labor force highly-skilled in handling diverse cargo types, to the ship, tug, barge, and rail operators who efficiently move commerce. From the construction and repair workers who build and maintain critical maritime vessels, equipment and infrastructure, and to all other port industry workers in between.
These men and women represent the faces of trade; these are the faces of your Port.
