Attention Marina Customers: Notice of Wireless Services Changes, Effective September 1, 2016

The Port strives to provide high-quality services at the lowest possible price, eliminate nuisance fees and create operating efficiencies. In response to customer feedback, the Port has been diligently working toward an improved Wi-Fi service for our valued customers.
We have been investigating viable options that will effectively address the particular challenges associated with providing wireless services in a marina environment. We have taken the time necessary to thoroughly vet our wireless solution going forward to ensure that it provides reliable and consistent service moving forward.
One thing became clear — in order to provide the service our customers are desiring, a pay-for-use company was determined to be the best solution. We have selected ECCO Wireless, a California-based company that has specific expertise in providing Wi-Fi service to marinas. They provide service in several Washington and California marina locations. In fact, moorage holders with an active ECCO contract will have reciprocal wireless privileges at those marinas.
Marina moorage holders and guests will now contract directly with ECCO for a specific customized “pay-for-use” service, which is similar to what is offered in major hotels.
The Port is posting this notice at the gatehouses and on the website for 60 days beginning July 1, 2016 with an estimated date for going live with the new ECCO system September 1, 2016. Sign-up information will be provided later this summer.
